  • Spam is unwanted, intrusive, and irrelevant advertising on the Internet. Spam content is content that is not created with the intention of serving visitors. The real issue here, however, is that too many content marketers are guilty of creating it under the guise of “content marketing” because it supposedly serves a marketing purpose.

  • Pop-up, pop-under, and in-line ads have been said to be intrusive, and research suggest that they could have important effects on user perception and cognition. (more to be researched)
